There are many things I absolutely like to mention here. My journey to Ireland was really easy because of the support given by Hireland Academy. When I was decided to do my master in Leadership and Quality Health Care in Ireland, I was in a state of dilemma to select the college, but the faculties helped me with the procedures to get a seat in Athlone Institute of technology (AIT) in Athlone, also assisted me to get a visa and best accommodation nearby college. AIT is the finest college I have ever seen with all the facilities (special consideration for non-European students). Faculties are very supportive and cooperative. Importantly, I got a part time job in nursing home with a good salary only because of there guidance. Now, I’m able to pay my rent and even I could save to send some amount to my family. To sum up in only a few lines about my journey to Ireland is difficult. The ultimate aim of my decision to fly abroad was obviously to get a master’s degree and now I am here at the door of my second semesterof the course Master in Nursing in Leadership and Quality Healthcare with a two months old part time job in my hand. I genuinely found Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT), Ireland the most suitable place for a Non-European Union student trying their level best to cope up with the study-work-life balance. Not the least but, I found that the University offers the best professors and the lecturers who are always willing to help academically and even if we have a culture shock initially, they are there to understand the situation and help us come out of it gradually. I landed in Ireland on the 25th August 2019 for the September intake in AIT and since then I’ve been getting a constant support and guidance from the staffs who helped me in many different ways like, from filling my application form for this course, applying for my visa and getting a very suitable paying guest accommodation near my college here in Ireland also guided me to get a part time job in a nursing home with a very good salary. Because of his honest dedication in helping students like me, I have never felt like I am away from my home country in a totally strange place, genuinely speaking. I never thought that after paying rent and spending some amount for my daily living, it would be possible for me to send some good amount to my home in the very first month of getting a part time job. Trust me, I don’t know how it was possible for me to do all this myself, when I see students here even from India, struggling and trying hard to make both ends meet. I believe that I dared enough to trust and make a decision.
